Here I present a small selection of the web sites I have built over the years.
Studio Zannovello

The Brief: A Venice based studio of engineers and surveyors requiring a minimalist contemporary online presence as a business card and map for prospective clients.
The Site: A simple online presentation, adopting a contemporary urban “grunge” style which metaphorically recalls the materials, textures and shapes to be found in the building trade.
‘Al Gelsomino’

The Brief: Bed and Breakfast – a personalized web presence with an exclusive domain name to publicize the activity. Owner required password protected adminstration area for occasional content editing. Main content to be in Italian and English.
The Site: Approx. 30 pages in content management system environment. Includes rich text editor, dynamic location map (Google), password protection, photo galleries
Scritti sulla Sabbia

The Brief: Journalist, writer, traveller in need of a space to advertise her skills as a specialised guide and writer in all things African. Main copy in Italian with limited French and English content.
The Site: Approx. 30 pages populating a content management system, including blog and photogallery and additional “printer friendly” pages for tour itineraries.
Nuova Icona Associazione Culturale

The Brief: A contemporary art gallery and non-profit cultural association required a reference point for their itinerant and permanent exhibition spaces; a place to announce their current and upcoming events and exhibitions and to divulge news regarding their ongoing activities.
The Site: Innumerable pages in both Italian and English, divided into 6 main exhibition areas each requiring its own archive for exhibition press releases, catalogues, dynamic location maps and other relevant information. The site is currently undergoing a major overhaul.
Bijou Events

The Brief: Provide a safe, password protected environment for wedding and event organizers to interact privately with portal users and their guests.
The Site: Content management system Portal site with limitless growth envisaged, including blog, survey, guest books, photogalleries, file upload/ download dock, forum, with optional password protected entry for authorized guests and / or adminstrators. Includes customized illustrated help files. Multi-template choice
Vallejo Violin Lessons

The Brief: A well established music school needing a major overhaul of their old web presence. Several new areas of interest were required for the site. Specifically requested was a “Venetian” feel and an overall “homely” and informal atmosphere, avoiding all “sophistication”. Clearer navigation to the key areas of the school activities and a semplification of site maintenance.
The Site: Incorporated into the site a colour board preference expressed by the commissioner, including the use of textured areas and buttons in warm tones intended to make the visitor “feel at home”.

The Brief: Young Italian photographer requiring a minimalist contemporary online presence; a portfolio of his experimental work to present as his business card to prospective clients.
The Site: A very clean and simple online presentation, seen as an ongoing project leaving ample room for growth and additional “gallery” space.
‘La Palanca’

The Brief: Popular wine bar and restaurant in phase of rapid growth requires web site as point of reference for clientele. Requested informal graphics and text arrangement as a “virtual” projection of the ambient style and staff characteristics.
The Site: An ongoing project which has taken on a very “extempore” growth style to fit in with the owner’s commitments.
‘Arty Crafty Stuff’
Brief I required a fun graphics background to use with the standard blogger template. Preferred light and simple with a ‘country’ feel as a showcase for my handcrafts.
